Heineken Cup – last chance in the January saloon by Frank Quinn
The next two rounds in December (9th &16th) are the back to back home and away games and it is ironic that the top two contenders in each pool are all playing each other.
Tournament organisers, ERC, announced (9 June, 2011) that the Heineken Cup final will be returning to Dublin in 2013 following the selection of the Aviva Stadium as the venue for European club rugby’s 18 thshowpiece occasion.
Reigning Heineken Cup Champions Leinster have been drawn in Pool 3 of next season’s tournament and will face Bath, Glasgow Warriors and Montpellier as they try to defend the title they won in Cardiff just over a fortnight ago.
ERC can confirm that the following players have been nominated by their clubs as their “Additional Player” for the Heineken Cup 2010 / 2011 tournament. The players they are replacing in the squads (maximum 38 players at any time) are de-registered. (Please see NOTE TO EDITORS below)
