He captained them to a Heineken Cup semi-final, with his performances earning him a recall to the Ireland ’A’ squad.

An exceptional lineout operator and a workaholic in the loose, the Maynooth man made his senior debut for Ireland against Australia in 1999. His international career stalled but consistent performances in the Guinness Premiership have seen Bob recalled to the squad.
