Undoubtedly Ireland’s greatest rugby talent, Brian O’Driscoll made his senior international debut on the summer tour against Australia in 1999 off the back of some eye-catching U19 and U21 displays and was ever present during Irelands 99 RWC campaign. In 2001 he toured Australia with the Lions playing in all three tests. In 2002 he was awarded the Irish captaincy against Australia, in the absence of Keith Wood. Upon Woods retirement after the 2003 RWC, Brian was made captain. His leadership qualities were further enhanced when he was named captain for the 2005 Lions tour to New Zealand, however the public were robbed of O’Driscolls excellence when he was forced to retire from the tour following a malicious tackle. In the blue of Leinster O’Driscoll drove his team to European success in 2009 and his blistering performances throughout Ireland’s 2009 Grand Slam season earned him a place on the 2009 Lions squad in addition to a host of sporting awards.

Brian continued his excellent form during Ireland's 2010 Six Nations campaign where he followed in the footsteps of John Hayes and became a test centurion earning his 100th test cap against Wales in Croke Park when to that date he had scored 38 try's and 5 Drop Goals amassing 205 points in 100 games.

Brian has been named the RBS Six Nations player of the tournament for 2006, 2007 and 2009. He was nominated as IRB World Player of the year for 2001, 2002 & 2009
