    Educated at St Munchins College, Damien has represented Ireland at Club Level whilst playing for his club Garryowen in Munster. With Garryowen he won the All Ireland League in 2007 making his Munster debut the previous year. Damien took up a position with Wasps in the Premiership before returning to his native Munster for the 2009/10 season.

    Damien made his international debut against the New Zealand Maori on the 2010 Irish summer tour. His first test cap came against Australia the following week when he came on as a replacement. He added a second test cap to his tally against Argentina during the 2010 Guinness series.
