    Educated at Clognowes Wood College SJ, Fergus is a by product of the very successful Leinster Rugby Academy.

    He has represented Leinster and Ireland at U19, U21 and ‘A’ level. He has also represented the Irish Universities against England.

    McFadden has a strong turn of speed which enables him to make gainline breaks at will. Certainly one of the rising stars of Irish rugby.

    He made Senior debut for Leinster against Cardiff Blues in the Magners League in September 2007, won the Magners League title with Leinster 2007/8; Magners League finalist and Heineken Cup winner 2011

    His senior test debut came in Ireland's opening game against Italy at Stadio Flaminio in 2011 RBS 6 Nations championship, first try followed against France the following week
