Became the 100th man to captain Ireland v Scotland in August 2011 |
A mainstay of Leinster and Irish rugby Leo represented Irish Schools, Under-19, Under-21, Under-25 and ’A’ international, during the summer of 2002 he was included in the senior squad for the tour to New Zealand. On that trip he won his first cap when coming on as a replacement for Malcolm O’Kelly during the second Test in Auckland. Last season Leo captained Leinster to European glory and has rejuvenated himself this season with superb outings in Europe and the Magners League. Cullen proved a master in the Lineout during Ireland's opening 2010 Six Nations campaign when he constantly disrupted opposition lineout against Italy and France.
