Marcus Horan wrestled the Irish number one shirt off Reggie Corrigan back in 2005 and refused to give it back. Not the most physically overbearing prop forward, but what Horan lacks in physicality he more than makes up for with finely honed technique. With pace to burn over 15 yards, Horan has created quite a reputation as a dynamic ball carrying prop who can run, step, chip and pass off both sides without detriment to doing the ‘hard yards’ in the set piece. He made his senior debut against the USA back in 2000. With a nose for a score, Marcus was the only Irish player to score a try against New Zealand in 2005 and has amassed 35 international points to date the most recent of which was against Scotland in last years Six Nations.
