Despite being first introduced into the Ireland senior squad in 2002, he had to wait until November 2006 for his first senior cap which came against South Africa. A natural 10, Paddy has played in most positions along the backline. On his first senior start against the Pacific Islanders last November he amassed an impressive 26 points tally. Along with Brian O’Driscoll and Donnacha O’Callaghan, the Ballymena man played in the successful Ireland U19 team that won the World Championships in 1998. With caps for Ireland at U19, U20, ‘A’ and sevens Wallace is an adaptable player who can play at 10,12 or 13.
