Debut 2009 v Italy |
Tom Court, a tighthead prop from Australia joined Ulster Rugby at the start of the 2006-07 season. Previously a top athlete, Court, who is Irish qualified for rugby, was one of the best shot-putters in Australia and is a relative newcomer to rugby union having begun playing the code whilst studying at the University of Queensland. From there he was invited to join the Queensland Reds rugby academy, and has since played for Queensland A and NPC side Manawatu before returning to Australia to feature in the Queensland Reds Super 14 squad.
Tom arrived in Belfast in May 2006 and before getting the opportunity to compete for Ulster, was taken to the USA and Canada as part of the Ireland A Churchill Cup Squad. Tom was loaned to Pertemps Bees for a few months and returned to Ulster to win 14 caps during the 2007/08 season.
Tom made his Ireland debut as a replacement against Italy in 2009.
