Born in Cork, Tony earned his first Irish cap on the 2007 Summer tour to Argentina. At school he played in the second-row for Newbridge College before switching to the front row where his performance for Shannon in the AIB League earned him a contract with Connacht before Munster came calling. A mountain of a man, his considerable frame can do real damage in the set piece and the loose. He has made steady progress in his recent outings for Munster and Ireland where he came on as a replacement for John Hayes against England and Wales during the 2010 Six Nations
